These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using RecRun (Korean name: 렉런, "the Service"),
a running-record service provided by Irony Company Inc. (주식회사 아이러니컴퍼니, "the Company"),
and the rights and obligations of the Company and users.
1. These Terms take effect when posted in the app.
2. The Company may amend the Terms within the bounds of applicable law and will give prior notice of amendments.
3. A user who does not agree to an amendment may terminate the service agreement.
1. Membership is formed when a user agrees to the Terms, completes email verification and account registration, and the Company accepts it.
2. The Company may withhold or refuse acceptance in cases such as: use of another person's identity, false information, or users under the age of 14.
1. A user ID is 4–12 characters (Korean letters, Latin letters, digits); a password is 6–20 characters and must include letters, digits and special characters.
2. A nickname is 4–8 characters (Korean letters, digits) and, as a matter of service policy, may be changed only once.
Nicknames identify runners in standings and records, so they cannot be duplicated between members.
3. User IDs and nicknames may not contain profanity, slurs, sexual expressions or other inappropriate words.
4. Users are responsible for managing their accounts and must notify the Company immediately upon becoming aware of account theft or unauthorized use.
1. The Company provides run recording, standings, ghosts, free runs, course creation and sharing, events (fixed-period competitions), synchronized premieres, and related features.
2. Events (fixed-period competitions) are created and operated by the Company. Members apply to participate through an invitation link and take part by finishing within the entry period. The title, schedule and aggregate participant counts of an event may be made public through the invitation link (web page).
3. Fairness: to keep standings fair, the Company may exclude from ranking or invalidate abnormal records (mid-course starts, unrealistic speed or pace, impersonation, or other records detected by the system), and where one user has multiple records only the best record counts toward the standings.
4. The Company may change or discontinue the Service where operationally or technically necessary, with prior notice.
Users must not:
1. When a user saves a course they created as "public", other users may use that course.
2. Users retain the rights to the content they post and grant the Company a license to use it to the extent necessary to operate the Service.
1. The Company may grant free points (sign-up bonus, points earned from likes on and use of published courses, etc.) to promote the Service. Points may be used only within the Service (e.g. offsetting event entry fees) and cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred or inherited.
2. The criteria, amounts and uses of points may change according to service operations, with in-app notice. Points earned improperly (self-crediting, multiple accounts, etc.) may be reclaimed.
3. To maintain service quality, the Company may limit the volume of content each user may register (e.g. a monthly limit on publishing courses); limits are shown in the app.
4. Remaining points expire on account deletion and are not restored.
1. The Company may delete or unlist posts (courses, event titles, nicknames, etc.) that may violate the law or infringe others' rights, with prior notice — or, in urgent cases, with notice afterwards.
2. Course names and other user-written text may not contain profanity, slurs or sexual expressions; the Company may block such text automatically at registration.
3. Inappropriate posts can be reported through the support contact (Article 13); the Company will act without delay after review.
1. Users may delete their account at any time in the app: Profile › Delete account. On deletion, account data and server-side run records and event entries are destroyed without delay, and courses and records stored on the device are also deleted. Payment records for entry fees are retained in pseudonymised form, unlinked from the account, where retention is required by applicable law.
2. The Company may restrict use or terminate the agreement if a user violates these Terms.
1. The Company is not liable for damage caused by force majeure, by the user's own fault, or by failures of third-party services (maps, routing, hosting).
2. Running is done at the user's own risk and responsibility; the Company is not liable for injuries or other harm occurring during exercise.
3. The accuracy of GPS and map information may vary with device and environment.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea; jurisdiction over disputes follows applicable law.
